BWSC 2023 Southern Cruise Itinerary
This year’s theme is “Take it Easy”
Dates Saturday July 15th - Tuesday July 25th
Please join us for all or at least part of the Southern Cruise. Distances are approximate. Continue cruising with BWSC by joining the Maine Train Cruise on July 25th - 30th as we cruise in company to Maine at a fairly relaxed pace. This will allow member to get to Maine in time to join the BWSC Maine Cruise, while having fun along the way.
Sat 15th - Meet at Dutch Harbor - pot luck on shore at marina picnic area.
Sun 16th - Dutch Harbor to Cuttyhunk ( 26nm )
Mon 17th - Enjoy Cuttyhunk - morning hike, afternoon dinghy to beach, pot luck dinner at the Sanford's home.
Tues 18th - Cuttyhunk to Menemsha ( 11nm )- Ashore to explore and picnic dinner on beach with take out from Larson’s or bring your own?
Wed 19th- Menemsha to Edgartown - ( 20 nm ) - maybe have a friendly team race to Edgartown? Pot luck, app's & cocktails aboard a member's boat and prize giving.
Thurs 20th - Enjoy Edgartown - Hike to lighthouse or rent bike and ferry to Cape Poge?
Fri 21st - Edgartown - Vineyard Haven ( 11 nm )
Sat 22nd - Enjoy Vineyard Haven - Martha's Vineyard Museum or visit the cliffs at Gay Head, and of course a trip for ice cream!
Sun 23rd - Edgartown to Hadley Harbor - ( 16.5 nm ). App’s & cocktails aboard a member’s boat.
Mon 24th - Hadley Harbor to New Bedford - ( 12nm ) - Group dinner a shore.
Tues 25th - New Bedford to Onset - ( 21nm ) - Great position for those that want to continue with the “Maine Train” cruise in company to Maine.
